“I think this is what makes them such a good union with wide appeal, from sophisticated kitchen to fun kitchen. When I create bespoke designed splashbacks I’ll often colour match them to other interior finishes but I don’t think colour matching is always necessary in design. Complementary and contrast colours work very well together too. Just as choosing a cooker is an important decision so are the finishing details including a splashback. Thinking about the design as part of the overall kitchen colour will make it fit in perfectly.”
Colour is a big part of my design process but I don’t design to colour and pattern trends. My collections and bespoke commissions are created to be timeless and enduring and are often evocative of a mood or memory. We spend so much time in our kitchens, I think it should be a happy and vibrant place to me. It’s why I love the colour choice Everhot Cookers has and their sustainability in manufacture is something I also relate too.” Emma Britton.
