Emma is a really focused artist/designer - we had some ideas of what we wanted and she discussed our ideas then came back with some examples and ideas which were totally new and really imaginative. This was our first foray into commissioning artworks but Emma made it easy - she was very clear about costs and timings and what we might expect. She kept us fully informed thoughout the whole process from the initial consultation to delivery of the completed panels. We wanted glass panels which showed silver birch trees but with a surreal aspect - Emma used real bark and fabric which gave texture and depth but retained the light and contemporary effect we craved.
